I did pretty bad this week.  I had a whole bunch of ice cream one night  and then I went out and ate really late a couple of nights.  Oh well... at least I didn't gain any weight.

I will just have to do better on this next coming week.  I bought some new atheltic shoes to maybe motivate myself to get out and exercise some.  I am thinking about getting myself some new clothes to wear out too since I don't really have much now.  And in a few weeks I will be moving and I will have a nice trail to jog on.  I can take the dog along with me, listen to my ipod.  I just need to make myself make time for it.  I am probably going to have to work another job for a little to cover the moving costs and so my boyfriend and I can get all the new stuff we are going to need.  Moving is stressful, but the new house is going to be so exciting!

So even though I haven't been doing great on my diet (I had some McDonalds, I haven't been eating as much fruit and veggies as I started out) I still lost a few pounds in the last week.  I guess it helps that I am not eating fast food every night at like 11 or drinking soda every time I have something to drink. 

So a weight update (I guess I should plan on doing this every Wednesday so I can keep up with how I am doing.)

So I have lost almost 10 pounds!  I am still trying to get some exercise in with my diet but I have a lot going on right now and not much free time.  I know I should probably make time but I guess I am not motivated that much since I am seeing some results.  Once I add in the exercise then I should start losing weight a little faster.

Alright time to get ready for the day so I can get some stuff done.

So I am finally putting an update on my weight....

So in the last few weeks I have lost about 7 pounds.  Not bad considering I haven't been doing great at my diet.  For a week I did really well and then after that I have been being kind of lazy.  Now that I am home and I have no real reason to eat out I am going to be doing better at my diet.  Not eating out so much has been helping me save some money that I had been spending on food too.  I am really doing tons better about not snacking and eating just because I can.  And I drink a lot more water!  I know thats repeating a lot of what I have already been saying, but I guess since I am trying just to use this to keep track of my diet thats all there really is to say.

So I have been out of town for the last few days and my diet didn't go so well because I ate out a lot with friends.  Its what happens when you are out of town.  But now I am back to my diet so hopefully I can make up for the extra eating this weekend.  Other than that, things have been going well.  I haven't been drinking sodas, I haven't been eating late (except for once over the weekend) and I haven't really been snacking through out the day.  If I eat a snack its something that isn't bad for me and I try to eat small portions.  I have been getting apple slices from Walmart.  I like them because they are already sliced up so they are easy to eat.  And the good thing is they are green apples which are my favorite!

So I guess an update on my eating goals from my last entry (i am putting them in a list like last time so its easier for me to compare)
- I was doing really good about drinking water, but lately at work I have been busy and haven't had the time to go up and get the water that I need... though I am still trying to drink more water than anything else...
- I haven't been eating too late, except for that one night.  I have been doing a lot better at this.  I think its because I have a more normal work schedule so I am not starving when I get off work at midnight or later.  Now I can eat dinner and be fine for the rest of the night.
- I have added a little more walking.  I don't always take the short cut through to get places at work.  but I guess thats all I have really added.  I would like to jog, or walk, or something outside but I guess I haven't been motivated enough to start that.
- don't drink soda... I had a little soda over the weekend.  it was diet... so i guess thats a little better than regular.  but i don't really think its all that much better for me...

Its been almost 2 weeks since I started the diet.  I haven't been being as good about keeping up with the pedometer and keeping track of my food on the slim fast web site, but I still am trying to watch what I eat.  I guess I should weigh myself at the 2 week mark to see if any weight has been lost.  I guess with all my extra eating this weekend I should just hope for no gain. 

I guess that is all for now.  Work wore me out... there was a lot to do today.

So far things have been going pretty good. I have been bringing my lunch to work with me and I have been trying to eat at home for dinner. I have only eaten out 3 times since Thursday, which is better than when I used to usually 2 times a day. I have been trying to eat more fruit and vegetables. Its just trying to find what I really like. I have probably lost a few pounds. I am not sure if i trust my $5 scale to be that accurate, but it may seem I have lost at least like 2 or 3 pounds. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have lost about 5. Though this weekend is going to be hard for me because I have a lot of stuff going on, people coming into town, and it won't be as easy to stay on track with my food and not eat out.

Things I have been trying to do to help not eat too much:
- drink a lot of water: if I am hungry I drink a glass of water. then usually I feel at least some what better.
- don't eat late: I try not to eat too late. I used to eat right before bed all the time, which isn't good for your body. Now I try to not eat for at least 2 or 3 hours before bed. Ideally I would like to not have to eat after 6.
- try to add more activity, even if its just walking: take the longer way at work when I am walking somewhere, walk more with the dog when I take him out, that kind of thing
- don't drink soda: I have only had one small glass of soda since starting the diet.. and it was a little bit of sprite

all right well I guess that is a good enough update for today.

Right now I weight about 165 and I would like to get down to around 120.  I am trying out the slim fast.  With the planned meals and help with menus I am eating more healthy foods.  My main problem before was I would eat out pretty much all the time, and if I didn't eat out then I would eat unhealthy snacks. 

Instead of getting Starbucks and buying my lunch at work I bring my own.

I have started eating more vegetables and fruits and I drink mostly water, instead of soda.  I am trying not to eat out as often.

So far its going well... considering I just started yesterday... last night I went to the store and bought the healthier food.  Even if I just lose like 20-25 pounds I will feel better. 

I am going to try to add in some working out to add to my diet later.

I also got a pedometer and I am keeping track of calories and get the menus from the slim fast website.

Anyway, thats about it for now
